Postcards |
We drew Geese on special postcards and sent some of
them to our friends in Denmark. You can see some of the
ones they sent back, as well. |
|
Sketchbooks |
Keeping a sketchbook
is a really good idea - you can use it to make notes
of things you see - quick sketches to turn into big
paintings later. |

Learning how to draw a goose |

|
Large pictures using acrylic paints |
For these pictures we thought
about the landscapes the geese fly through on their
incredible journey... |
|
T shirt painting |
We made a design on card and put
this inside the t-shirt. We then traced over the design
using acrylics and permanent marker pens. |
|
Our visit to RSPB Arne reserve.. |
Last time we went on a nature walk to look for wildlife on the
heath, and then visited a bird hide to see geese and oystercatchers.
This time we are going to Studland beach... |

|
Using scraperboard |
With scraperboard you scratch through the black surface
using special tools, making shiny lines - like drawing
in reverse. These pictures are of
some of the animals found in Russia and the far North,
where the geese spend the summer. |
|
'Antonia on Art' |
Did you see the 'Rolf on Art' TV programme? This is
our version. All
three school clubs met together - we painted one small
canvas each then put them all together to produce a
huge picture based on one of Antonia’s
paintings. |
|
Clay Beach Tiles |
We made beach tiles from DAS clay, with geese footprints
and shells and seaweed. |
|
|
Big Geese! |
Study Gallery workshop - big wire geese and mod roc...
|
|
Exhibition at the Study Gallery |
Exhibition of our work, shown alongside Antonia’s
work about geese, at the Study
Gallery in Poole. |
|
Big Paintings from Denmark |
The children from Denmark made these
big posters about the journey of Brent geese... |
